My remarkable pal Souixpal I read an article written by a left wing blog manager who expressed his feelings about some of the unfairness he had experienced from the right. Apparently, over the years he had received emails and seen stories spread about the left wing that were later revealed as urban myth. He has also received 'jokes' that wouldn't be considered by anyone on the left wing as funny, since the butt of the jokes were of course some left winger. The most recent was from his right wing brother. When he asked his brother over the phone why he would do such a thing, the right wing brother accused him of attacking him over a joke. Well, I thought the author expressed himself with such fairness and sensitivity, I decided to post the article on Souixpal's thread, figuring they would recognize the gesture as a genuine expression of my being fair and balanced. Message 22906929 So far pretty boring huh? The remarkable part is what followed. Souixpal: "Okay here's a story in the same vein. So these child-molesting Right Wingers are sucking some young boys off in the bathroom. Their leader is a guy named Jewell." … Message 22907061 Jewel is one of my thread names before RCG, for those of you who don't know that. There were a couple of other angry posts directed at me; so I pointed out that they had jumped to the wrong presumption as the article was not unfavorable to left wingers. Siouxpal argued with me in PM, and I could tell he didn't get it but apparently someone clued him in and rather than admit his error, here is what followed: Daytraderkid: "Perhaps his insulting bash to you had more to do with who you are and less to do with the article you posted." Message 22907350 Yes it certainly seemed that way but I always give people the benefit of doubt when it comes to things that could be simply a misunderstanding. But nope the kid had it right. Sioux's response: "amen." "Apparently Sioux has risen to the level of worship for his own dishonor. Well anyway, I thought that was remarkable; which is why I am posting this remark here. I might have to ban myself (again) if I posted this on my own thread where the rules prohibit making other posters the topic of animus. I might add that some of the comments posted by Souix and other pals were after he banned me from responding... big surprise there, ehhh. Gem
