Well yeah...it's long over due to stand down and stand back. Let Iraqis decide what is next.

What is needed now in Iraq...and has been needed for the last 3 years...is a plan for Iraqis to rebuild Iraq. Get Halliburton out of Iraq...100% out. Redeploy them to New Orleans to clean up the mess left by Katrina...that is if they can win in a competitive bidding climate.

The US should have long ago had a full employment program for Iraq. Funding Iraqis to rebuild Iraq in the Iraqi way. Use Iraqi engineers, workers and methods. The problems in Iraq would have been solved long ago.

You can't declare you're not an occupier while you build 14 permanent military bases and the New Emerald City in the green zone.

It's all been a BS pork fest for American contractors, which have mostly taken the money and cut and run with it.
