I see Americans have something in common with the Arab Muslims.

These are people who have long believed that Allah was bestowing these oil gifts on them in perpetuity and there would be infinite production.

How different is that to the American public's perception about energy policy?

It is always going to be there at a cheap price, no sacrifice required, no refineries to be built, no nuke plants, no pipelines, no drilling. Just give it to me cheap.

With Iraq sliding down hill it wont be long before production stops flowing there. At a minimum Iraqi production wont be ramping up before Hubberts peak is well into the decline.
