(CUBE) jumped 3 13/16, or 12.8%, to close at 33 9/16 in very heavy Nasdaq trading Friday. Analysts attributed the jump to a takeover rumor but couldn't provide any details about a possible buyer or price. One said rumors about the Milpitas, Calif., maker of video compression chips and software are fairly common. A C - Cube spokeswoman said the company could not provide any information about the stock activity.
