Jerry Springer is always making a big deal about his age, but he's only 62... a kid. I was shooting a wedding last weekend when I encountered a couple doing an enthusiastic east coast swing. It was the bride's grandmother and her boyfriend. She's 78 and he's 93, and they had a good old time! The bride and groom are non-dancers, and didn't plan on having a dance floor at the wedding. I persuaded them otherwise, and Nancy and I gave them some foxtrot lessons and choreographed their wedding dance. They performed it beautifully, and had a great time! And the guests loved having a place to dance. The floor was packed for the entire event. Shows like "Dancing with the stars" and "So you think you can dance" have ignited a dance craze that tops anything that's hit the USA since the 20s. And you, Mr. Lindy, were at the leading edge. Thanks for getting me and Nancy started. uf
