Rove's October surprise is that he's a drag queen.

Seriously, Rove must be going insane. The worst thing for him is that his secret weapon, hoodwinking the brainwashed prejudiced religious right to vote in lockstep, canvas like maniacs and turn out in mass numbers has been shattered by Foleygate. That scandal cut to the heart of the GOP's hypocrisy. And Foleygate is not over. It's still going.

Also, it looks like Hastert lied for sure, not just maybe, and democrats were not behind Foleygate at all. Plus who in their right mind could support the Iraq War anymore? And these religious right people are not affluent. They aren't big stockholders so they're not being helped by the market's rise.

What else could Rove do? Well, rig all voting machines, if he can do that which is doubtful. How about arrange with Iran to attack a US ship? Or just fake the attack like the Gulf of Tonkin? All insane choices. And not likely to keep congress in GOP hands, any of it. The senate maybe, but there just barely.

No, Rove's surprise is no surprise, just 100 million in negative ads bombarding the airwaves compared to 60 million worth for democrats. That's their only edge, in the sheer amount of trash and garbage they can dump on TV.
