Crichton does not discuss the matter with suitably qualified scientists. He put a white hat on anyone who says the world is a wonderful place and mankind is having no effect on it (and Ayn Rand shouts from the same perch) and puts a black hat on anyone who disagrees with that POV. He lumps the whole group of people who discuss Global Warming objectively as being on the level of warped deviant nazies. A plain, simple yet repugnant argument to anyone with functioning synapses.
