Some posters are very personable, despite the divergence of views. I really enjoy conversing with those holding views different from mine, and have found that the more reasonable of them are very personable, and would likely be my friends if I knew them in person.

I did not find that to be the case with subject person. He is more like a stalker who lures one in with reasonable messages and then attacks with all the style of a wolf. Contrary to your observation, I found that his PMs were reasonable, encouraging me to weigh in. Then he pounced in public.
