It was pretty nutty to elect an alcoholic as President. I don't think anyone is truly comfortable discussing the subject. I think most Americans wish Bush could just go away like a bad dream, along with his war in Iraq, eye-popping deficits, and his opinion that the "US Constitution is just a piece of paper." Unfortunately, denial doesn't address the problem - even if it does make us feel less uncomfortable in the short run. The real question that needs to be addressed is what caused Americans to abandon their good judgment. The damage is already done, but its important that this mistake is not repeated. .
