Saw the Barron's article -- the value-oriented fund also mentioned some other favorites like ESIO and SVGI. Another data point: a savvy friend called out of the blue and wanted to talk about the semi-equips, instrument companies and other current bargains. I think the smart money has noticed a market anomaly, so it may not last much longer. He also commented that from his vantage (at a company selling very low-level systems to people building fabs) the slowdown did not appear to be severe, but I would bet that's at least partly because they don't do much Asian business.
