I'm going to write an email to the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. They've got a tough problem too - how to spend Warren Buffet's gigantic bequest. Steam baths for the homeless seems like a fine idea. Let's draft a proposal! Seriously though, slightly larger versions of the Japanese capsule concept in cheap, mass produced stackable modules might be an idea to try with the homeless. Make them so you could just take the mattress and bedding out and hose them out. You could even have the homeless MAKE them, maybe in a place with a LOT of homeless, like Portland, OR.
