This topic is not about DMA. It was a comment about the effects of alcoholism on Bush, and his comment about where he believes the issue has been politically exploited.

There have been plenty of experts who have debunked the character based criticism of Bush related to alcoholism. There have also been experts who claimed the character traits of Bush are representative of a dry drunk.

In other words the issue isn't settled, leaving us all to carry some view points about it. I figure that period had a profound effect on Bush since I am about his same age and remember the VietNam era influences on college students quite well. Most people who went on to lead productive and responsible lives benefitted from the harsh lessons of 30+ years ago, and are better people for it.
