Major problem, since VietNam was taking place then. The government decided to demonize pot along with LSD. Anti marijuana laws were, at first, anti-black laws. It was perceived that pot was a black drug. At the time (1920's) that made for good politics. >Screw hippies.< You think you will get pot legal without them?
