fwiw OT: After giving up Ambien I tried Lunesta
and did not like the effect at all. Rozerem did
not seem to work very well for me, and now I
am taking Doxepin.

People are obviously wildly different, a
fellow shiftworker from my office has rave
reviews for Rozerem--but he normally is a
good sleeper, uses the drug just to come back
to dayshifts.

Myself, I struggle to get a good six hours--always.
Benadryl helps, doxepin is much stronger. I have a
weak bladder and the doxepin may be helping a bit
with that too I think.

At the dose I take, I can't imagine doxepin competing
with Ambien or Lunesta--which do a great job of keeping
you down, then wear off fast.

The price I pay for seven hours of good sleep with
doxepin is several hours or fog when I awake...
Which seems a fair price--if you're not running
a chainsaw or doing brain surgery in the morning.
