You're basically suggesting that I'm being intellectually stubborn and close-minded in not accepting an agnostic philosopohical position. I don't think that is warranted.

Me, neither. And I didn't do that. I don't expect you to accept anything that doesn't work for you.

I do expect the parties in cases like these where we lack information to acknowledge the possibility of the alternative. If you can recognize that human tastes can occur naturally without turning agnostic, there's no reason not to recognize the same theoretical possibility for music. No ceding of principle required.
