Of course progressives fought as hard as they could to make sure our homeless weren't even counted. I guess if you count them it interferes with the empire building.

What planet do you live on? It's hard to count the homeless because they don't have an address. It's known that any attempt to count them will be an undercount. The "progressives" wanted to use a statistical estimate to come closer and every major city in the country that I know of supported the proposal. They knew the statistical method would achieve a higher number and then the cities would be entitled to more Federal funds. The regressives, sometimes known as conservatives, opposed it and unfortunately the USSC declared the statistical method as un-Constitutional. The regressives got their way, the homeless won't be counted.
