Pete, the point is that integrated graphics doesn't have to be as basic as Intel's. They can be high-performance like nForce.

Anyway, Joe Osha is just predicting that the market for discrete graphics will shrink because integrated graphics will be "good enough" for most people. Hence he's going out on a limb and saying that AMD/ATI will let discrete graphics "die on the vine."

You and I both know that's ridiculous, or else no one would be buying CPU performance, either. After all, isn't a Celeron or Sempron "good enough" for most people as well?
