John, this just goes to show that like you, Tom can make a mistake
too. For those who don't know, the l2 cache is completely invisible
to the rest of the system, The slot1 or slot2 doesn't care about the cache because it never sees or knows about it. It's all managed by
the processor and it's all local to the processor module/card. The
chipset knows nothing about the cache as well.

Like Jeff said, try and grasp this concept, Slot1 is for desktops,
Slot2 is for servers. Repeat this over and over until it sinks in or
Fuchi says something intelligent.
