I was a census taker in '90. That was in the last century. Things may have hanged, but we had a special push to find and record homeless folks. I traveled all over northern Mendocino County one night. Looking under bridges, checking in parks, etc. They are hard to find, hard to get them to talk.

I accept that there is a very good effort in attempting to count the homeless for the census. But there's only so much you can do. I suppose the hard question to answer is. "What percentage did you find?"
