That's a good question. All illegality has done is keep the profits up. It's to the Mexican Mafia what Prohibition was to the Italian Mafia. It's reached the point that the Forest Service is warning hunters in the Mendocino Nat. Forest to maybe stay away this year. {Plantations in Sequoia Nat. Park.) Damn; we are losing our wilderness access because weed costs as much as gold. This year, they have pulled a quarter million plants from my county. Only a few have been small-moderate Mom and Pops. Last week, they arrested 3 gang members from the Bay Area up here, going camping in the National Forest. No camping gear. Night vision equip, machine gun, 100 lbs of dope, tho. My son sez the still untold part of this story is that they had killed 4 people and ripped off a scene on the oast, and whee headed for an inland garden run by the same folks. Plus the gang has the cop and his family under a death threat.

"What the heck is a marijuana trimmer?". People who manicure, or trim the buds. Pull off the big leaves, get rid of all the non-bud leaves, trim the remainder into an esthetic bud appealing to the consumer. Pay is 20 bucks an hour, cash. I've heard reliable top trimmers are now getting up to 40 bucks from a few people. But, lots of growers are converting to mechanical trimmers. No work for trimmers at all.
