Bless you, my child. Unfortunately, I remember the '51 Whirled Serious, the Korean War, a fire on the grounds of Kern General Hospital in '49, and the '52 Bakersfield quake. And a lot more, of course. Including being in the army of the streets during Nam. And of how proud I was (and am) my diploma is signed by Pat Brown and not Ray Gun.
