Do you remember the cartoon strip Rick O'Shay by Stan Lynde? It was my all time favorite. The Sunday strip was always something with a spiritual theme, like Hipshot skipping church to go out into the wilderness and say "Thank you God!" Sometimes Rick would take the boy out elk hunting on the Sunday strip.

Lynde got into a shoving match with his publisher and said screw it. They gave the strip to somebody who just couldn't do it, and it folded.
