When the USSR detonated its first nuke, there was near panic in the US that the tiger had been loosed from our gage. Then China did theirs, to the same scary tune. (We didn't seem too scared when France and Britian did their tests, for some reason.) Each time a country joined the nuclear "fraternity," it actually seemed to sober up the leaders of those countries, as they were very much aware of the responsibilities involved with being a nuclear power.

But now, piss-ants are getting "the bomb." These micro-cretans don't have the ability to deploy it yet, but they do have the ability to destabilize their regions. The world community probably should have shut down Pakistan's nuke program and made an example of them. But, that's water under the bridge. Now, with Iran and the DPRK on the edge of possessing their own nuclear hegemony, the line has to be drawn. Neither of these two states are interested in a stable world; they both want to see cities crumble and have plans to make it happen. IMO, they have to be stopped now, and other piss-ant states can't be allowed access to nukes.

I have spoken. <GGG>
