It's possible. I have to file to get my money back, even. (Unfortunately, I also defund everything else.)

A) I have 2K credit for putting in solar
B) I've been pulling out 40% of my income for 401K. Just upped it to 50% for the rest of the year.
C) Still have a cap gains loss to carry forward.
D) If I keep taxable income below 28K, and use the loss, it drops my taxable below 25K
E) Below 25K, there is a poor person's tax credit for contributing to an IRA, which you can do, even with a 401K. That'll give me another $450 credit (on top of deducting the contribution from my income).
I won't even have to itemize at that point. The personal deduction and the standard deduction will drop my income below what the credits cover.
It's wonderful, not paying for the war. A once in a lifetime chance to do it legally. I'll be just like a corporation.
