I am informed through PM that your observation is "unfairly rendered" (my words). I do not see the person on this thread so I am responding publicly to his/her PM:

_________________________

To the person who PM'd me on this matter:

My response of...

"There is plenty of room in this world for disagreement. There are passionate reasons to oppose or endorse all sorts of polarities. The world can live with disagreement. Indeed, questioning is the lever of progress.

But wishing harm on innocents is not an argument for anything. It is something savage, primitive, and revolting.

The remark was not cute. It was not civilized. It was not decent."

...is commentary on an alleged statement. I don't know if the allegation is true, but in any event it is not my challenge to make as I cannot disprove it. I find the offense (as alleged) to be particularly odious, and I responded to the content rather than to the alleged perpetrator. My statement offers and intends no position or opinion as to the truth of the allegation. If his/her assertion is unfair then I would suggest that you have extreme grounds for redress through SI Admin. If it is essentially true, then it goes beyond the pale.
