Roberts was put in touch with Lafta by Richard Garfield, a professor of Nursing, who was heavily involved in the anti-sanctions movement in the 1990's.

I don't see any evidence that he was associated with the anti-sanctions movement. Do you have any? Or was he doing this in secret?
