I hope you're right, Ork but I would caution you not to extrapolate your personal experience to the entire country. US manufacturing is taking a real beating, especially the auto industry. I can't think of anything worse in our economy today.

However, the consumer is spending like there is no tomorrow. I admittedly don't understand it. They are spending on fancy clothes, video games, vacations, upscale cars, furniture, remodeling and on and on. There is absolutely no fear about the future.

I've thought housing would pull everything down into the abyss and it might at some point. I don't see it happening anytime soon.
