We made sling shots from branches of cherry trees in our back yard. Old bicycle innertubes for the rubber bands. Any kid that had an old tube was the ruler of the day if he'd let us cut it up. We shot the abundant little pebbles in the yard. Of course, we got in trouble with these things, too. My brother and I both had a fun-filled afternoon shooting out the windows in a neighbors chicken coop. There were no chickens there, so it seemed like an okay thing to do at the time... until my neighbor met my dad when he got home. Whack-a-whack-a-whack times 2.
