It was our fault period over and out... we couldn't cry poor parenting, bad teachers, poverty or psychological damage of some other sort... we WERE fortunate! (but didn't think so then...not at the point of 'accountability and a voice saying 'the faster you get over my knee the faster I stop counting the number of spankings you get ;)
