***MOSTLY OFF TOPIC*** Fred, if I ever start selling APM, watch out (watch out at the top, not bottom, because it could then skyrocket). Apparently you are much more patient than I am because I have been actively inveting only since last June, after being an inactive investor for ~30 years. I keep buying more APM as it goes down and got some today at 33 3/8. I keep thinking that this will be the low but this week was a bummer (for APM).

My CREAF, RGFX and partial VGINF sales this week were partially to feed my APM habit and, for CREAF and VGINF (but definitely not RGFX) to take what I considered to be substantial profits (30-60% in < 2 months each). I would love to annualize those gains. One can 2x, 3x or 4x by investing for the "long" term or by making multiple transactions with smaller but short term gains. Neither apprach seems better and mine is probably riskier because one bad investment can wipe one's core out. Fortunately, I have not yet been attracted to puts and calls, where one really can lose 100% (and most people apparently do!). Almost all of my investing is to build up funds that I can later give away through our foundation, which is one of the accounts for which I am actively trading. Its account (and the four IRA accounts from my family) accumulate gains tax free, which further encourages a short-term strategy. That account is up ~60% since APM started its rise in mid-July.

Currently, I feel almost solely from Darren's informed comments that RGFX will be a much better investment next quarter than this quarter after we can confirm shipments of their new printer. I got burned on RGFX on earnings day last quarter. The volume could be a good indicator for RGFX. Sometimes its sales volumes put one to sleep and I recently posted that it took over an hour for ANY sales to happen. I feel that I got the top price available today of 7 7/8 since one's order rarely gets filled at the ask price for this stock.

Unfortunately, my exits from RGFX and CREAF today leave me down to APM, WDC, VGINF and a very speculative Y2K company (ALYD) in my portfolio. Other than APM, barely enough to keep my interest. I will be watching both the RGFX and CREAF threads for a possible time to reenter but trying to pick up tips on other companies that appear underpriced based on FA.
