I have been to the area around Chernobyl. Chernobyl was a sad and tragic event for the hospitable people of Ukraine. It is over rated as a global disaster. Even if 50 people died in Scotland as a direct result of the 1986 accident more than 568 Scots committed suicide in that same year. How many Scots were killed in car accidents 1986? How many were murdered? How many were confined for life to wheel chairs? How many over dosed on drugs? How tragically died in mountaineering accidents?
