All that being recognized, the basic question is how the price can be maintained at a constant level under buying pressure without added shares coming from somewhere. If they aren't shorted shares, then one would assume some large positions are selling into the market gradually.

In that case, what does the large position holder think he knows that he thinks the rest of us don't?

or else, where are the additional shares coming from, shorts or otherwise?
