Clinton started paying down the national debt with the surplus. The Republicans OTOH, when given total power have decided to increase the national debt by 50% in just 6 years. The 'conservatives' have decided to TAX and STEAL and take from the middle class wage earner and give to the dilettente rich.
What you're talking about is CORRUPTION not LIBERALISM or CONSERVATISM. Slapping a label on a corrupt politician and claiming that the label, and not his actions, define him is nonsense.
The 'conservative' Republicans since Reagan are always the biggest tax and spenders. They just spend it on themselves and not on the poor which also makes them not Christian.
