I see little evidence for that... (remember, the Vietcong were 'southerners' too....)

ESPECIALLY when one considers that the three main political groupings are fighting *each other*! :-)

(And --- with the one possible exception of the Kurds, who need the US to help keep the Turks off of their backs --- about the only thing thay all seem to have in common is the desire to not be occupied by foreigners....)
