One side of my family was non-religious - not atheist or anything, just never went to a church. My grandmother was probably never in a church in her life. Some people turn out find w/o religion in their lives. Some people don't. Statistically, kids raised in religious homes have fewer pregnacy, drug, alcohol, legal problems in their teen years. It's not a panacea but increases the odds of turning out well.
