How long before your heroes get updated on the war in Iraq's downside? Last nite, when Mr. Davis, the GOP rep. from the great state of Kentucky, was asked how many American soldiers have died in Iraq this month......he floundered and then said 17. The correct number is 71.......the worst total since the war began. I thought you said GOPers care about American soldiers in Iraq?

KY4: During Last Night's Debate, Geoff Davis (R) Demonstrates No Clue As To How Deadly The Iraq War Has Become

Rep. Geoff Davis (R) during Thursday night's Northern Kentucky University debate against former Rep. Ken Lucas (D) shows his lack of understanding of how bad the Iraq War has become. When asked by reporter Jamie Baker-Nantz how many soldiers have died in Iraq this month. Davis guesses at an answer, and displays painful ignorance of the real cost of the war.

Considering that Davis, a Canadian-born West Point grad, can't get through a campaign speech without several references to his military past, this is a remarkable display of ignorance. You'll recall last month when Davis sided with his payday loan contributors over our trooops until he was busted by the media.

Something tells me this will get some national coverage...
