Detroit?!!! Ow-weeee! Maybe a full auto Mac??? Yeah, a shotgun is tough to beat, but perhaps psychologically even more intimidating for the user to put into action, given the imagined result. Tougher to miss, though, and less overpenetration problems with birdshot. Then again, the sound of racking a round into the chamber has been known to have great deterrent effect in and of itself. Unfortunately, modern liability lawsuits gone amok make it prohibitive to have a firearm anywhere outside of a locked thousand pound floor safe. And with a Democrat House, and possible Senate, on the horizon, I fear for our Second Amendment rights, which Bush will sell out in a heartbeat to make a bucks-for-buddies deal, just like every other Republican President in the last fifty years. Sigh.
