Yes, I know. The Iraqi Army sent up two companies from Basra to take back the police headquarters. My question to you.....why was that necessary? Why couldn't the Iraqi Army troops garrisoned in Amarah stop the takeover? This is the same Iraqi soldiers who allowed insurgents to raid the army depot in August, stripping it clean, just after the Brits turned the depot over to them.

Nearly 4 years after we invaded Iraq, and the Iraqi army still has trouble standing on its own two feet. Why?
