Well I guess that was an interesting week. Still no new info from mgmt. I hope they have a good drug because management has a lot to learn about managing investors and expectations.
We were lucky to finish in the money on our options with a small profit. Price action and volume on thursday and friday were interesting. Between 2 and 4pm the action was almost all on the offered side and volume was pretty strong. I am reasonably confident the stock is under accumulation. I have a pretty big stake at this point and I think I will ride this one out, but I am a little nervous.
It is nice to see arna make a strong move, now over two weeks running on some heavy volume days. Cramer has helped, but even he can't move a stock from 11 to 17+ with that kind of volume.
We should have an interesting two months with NUVO as news flow should really pick up. ARNA and NUVO are my two largest position. I am kind of struggling to figure out what else to place bets on. POTP? I read your post and it is probably time to add, we have seen this time and again with small biotechs, nothing has fundamentally changed yet the stock is depressed. Even looking a ARNA we saw the stock get whacked 50% with no fundamental change in their prospects.
Here is a short list of companies I find interesting SNUS, CDTP, ARQL, IMMU, CTRX (for cardiovascular not cancer), EXEL, PGNX, NEOL. I have positions in all of them but, not major bets. Well... EXEL I have a reasonable size position. CDTP is an interesting story and business model. A pretty good source also told me to look into RPRX and their oral drug that raises testosterone, but I have not done much dd.
