Well, GZ, I think this particular election, more than any other I can remember, is rife with candidates of both parties who have problems. And we as the electorate are to believe this is the best our Country has to offer? Persons who are admitted adulterers, or have shown violent tendencies...

I suppose if Clinton's transgressions were relevant only because he lied about them, not because he was a flawed person, I could accept the fact that a slimeball like Sherwood can be given a pass. After all, Hillary forgave Bill, right?

But to see the President of the United States, who promised to return honor to the Oval Office, out on the same podium with Sherwood, promoting him for reelection...disgusts me.

Or does political expediency overrule everything else? Does character matter in our leaders? Should we demand it? Should we demand that our leaders not ignore the sexual perversions of those who serve with them and over whom they have responsibililty (e.g. hastert/Foley)? I think so.
