NEWS RELEASE

The Company wishes to announce that it has made the initial payments
necessary to keep in good standing the acquisition of 350,000 acres of
land mentioned in the July 18, 1997 news release and located in the
Buffalo Head Craton, Alberta. The Company is currently reviewing
possible work programs.

The Company is continuing to work towards the completion of
documentation with a numbered Alberta company, an arm's length entity,
to acquire two separate blocks of claims, one block being northwest of
the Ashton discovery and one block to the southeast of the Ashton
discovery in the Province of Alberta.

The Company would also like to announce the following corporate
changes: Mr. Charles Desjardins, currently a Director of
Victory Ventures, will be taking over as President of the Company.
Mr. Mike Piek will be stepping down as President, but will remain on
the Board of Directors. Mr. Dave Hodge is resigning from the
Board of Directors. Victory Ventures would like to thank
Mr. Hodge for his past contributions and efforts.
