Robert, I'll be calling Corning on Monday to discover what their total manufacturing capacity for lenses are. If, with their increased capacity alone, they are able to double production from say 160 to 320, then, in effect, there is no glass shortage, just a shortage of golfballs as Deahna wasn't available for comment (he went golfing?) Cymer's claim that there could be as much demand for 1000 steppers in 1998 versus 475 relative to Deahna's new census is certainly way off isn't it? VLSI's dollar number projections would more correspond to Cymer's projections for 1998.

I bet that I will find that NO ONE from Morgan Stanley called Corning to get lens production figures!
