Welcome from SGI thread. Thanks for starting this thread.
One question I have about NCR. Fisher makes a great deal about growth companies, "the darlings of Wall Street", who've experience the Glitch. Was NCR ever a big growth company ? I don't recall that it every was; perhaps a very long time ago. Right now two of its businesses -- ATM's and computer consulting services are fairly mature, while the third one, the multiprocessor NT servers, is admittedly high growth. But, that one has a lot of fairly nimble competitors, such as Compaq, HP, Dell, etc. Where do you expect the high growth in NCR to come from ?
