After MMGG, my second favorite is Roxmark (RMKL on CNQ, RMKMF in U.S.) for molybdenum and gold. The recent warrant exercise at the market price was a very positive sign for the company, IMO. They plan to mine their moly and use the proceeds to fund the reopening of one of their 6 formerly high-producing gold mines. Huge potential if they can reopen all their gold mines. Should get listed in Toronto soon.
I also really like Copper Fox (CUU on TSXV, CPFXF in the U.S.), discussed quite a bit here. They have a world-class copper/gold deposit in a hot area of British Columbia and should be a huge winner.
For silver, I like Avino Silver & Gold (Asm on TSXV, ASGMF in the U.S.) and Genco Resources (GGC on TSXV, GGCRF in the U.S.), both with Mexican properties. Avino is looking to reopen their silver mine next year and also get the silver from their old tailings. GGC already operates a gold and silver mine, but the big upside is from exploration of their large properies.
Northern Orion (NNO on TSX, NTO in the U.S.) is my favorite producer (gold/copper/moly), as they are arguably undervalued based solely on their 12.5% interest in the gigantic Alumbrera mine, partnered with Xstrata and Goldcorp, and they are nearing completion of the feasibility study for their nearby Agua Rica project, which is also of world-class size.
I also like European Minerals (EPM on TSX, EPMCF in the U.S.) as an undervalued gold play headed for production next year. They have some country risk, since they're in Kazakhstan, but I think Kazakhstan is much safer than the steep discount for the stock vs. its peers indicates.
There are a lot of other good mining stocks, but these are my favorites right now.
Outside of resources, my favorite stock is JER Envirotech (JER on TSXV), a wood plastic composite manufacturer who takes waste materials such as sawdust or rice husk, mixes it with plastic, and produces a composite material that is cheaper with better properties than wood or plastic. They're ramping up production now, and plan to have several plants up and running in Asia in the next few months. |
