I assume you mean selling. Either short puts or covered calls (or even, when feeling particularly obstreperous) short naked calls.

No particular strategy re: the option cycle. I have a tendency to short the near-term contracts, feeling if it doesn't work out, I will more quickly have opportunitities to roll out, simply close, or accept assignment and then write something more against the position.

In this case I feel right now that I would probably accept being put Sandisk if necessary and start writing, using Dec calls.
