Joanna, I don't think your logic is weird at all. As I understand it, MCAF and SYMC had an agreement not to discuss the suit in public. SYMC breached this agreement, and then proceeded to issue blatantly false statements such as MCAF admitting it had misappropriated code etc. As a result, the stock has plummeted by about 35%. In my book that's real damages both to the sharholders directly, and to the company's ability to raise cash through equity financing. It also hurt the employees and officers of the company who may be holding warrants, and thus threatens the ability of the company to hire quality personnel.
