My point is that the British are better at foreign relations that the US because of their knowledge and experience with foreign cultures, given their colonial past. Especially with regards to the Middle East, they should have known about the ethnic makeup and undercurrent tensions.

Tito and Saddam had something in common, don't you think? Their outcomes are the same even though they went about achieving it in a different manner.
