having looked at the reserves projection for dptr from rseg.com, the 228 tcf estimate is 50% recovery for 250' net pay from 10K-15K feet only in 2,500 square miles of the 20,000 sq mi play.

I don't know if gas is everywhere there, but dptr also talked about a possible shallow gas play on top of the basalt, plus there are estimates that there might be 1500' of pay in some places.

I could possibly see how dptr might have 50-100 tcf themselves if most of their wells have 10-30 bcf. Right now the estimates are for 10-30 per well, with thousands of drilling sites possible.

I know it'll take years of drilling to prove anywhere near that much but if they have an unbroken string of hi reserve and hi flow wells oughta open people's minds up to the possibilities.
