The US uses 25% of the world's oil. Commodities trade at the margin of supply and demand. Taking most of the US demand off of the world market would reduce the price of oil close to the cost of oil production, there by reducing the profits to the oil producing countries dramatically. re: I doubt we will even see a prototype of a car powered by these caps in 2006, 2007, or 2008. You don't need a radical new design overnight. We have technology today to reduce consumption by 60%.
