Markets makers do accumulate and distribute.

When market makers accumulate, the stock prices pull back.

When market makers distribute in round lots, the stocks have nice moves.

Obviously when you watch any stock, volume and each trade is important information.

You sell when accumulation begins. Cash is king.

when distribution begins, you use your cash reserve to buy on the way up. Never be greedy and invest too heavily in the early stages of distribution. Selling larger volume can suffer severe pull back before the bell.
